With executions currently on hold, the staff at Ohioans to Stop Executions has been hard at work making sure that we’re able to deliver our members the latest news, educational resources, and actions necessary to end the death penalty in Ohio.
This spring, we’ve taken the opportunity to bring you some important resources and updates to help our members take action and finally put an end to executions in our state. We’re excited to introduce the first four of many upcoming changes:
1. New Website
In an effort to streamline our site and provide our members with the news and tools they need, we’ve redesigned our website to make information easier to find and highlight the actions that you can take today to end executions in Ohio.
Check it out at otse.org.
2. New Video
In addition to our new site design, we’re challenging ourselves to provide more content about OTSE, our mission, and the issues surrounding the death penalty in Ohio. Our first new video gives you a look at the history and mission of Ohioans to Stop Executions, featuring Ohio death row exonerees Kwame Ajamu, Ricky Jackson, Joe D’Ambrosio, Derrick Jamison, and other friends and supporters of Ohioans to Stop Executions.
Watch the video and be sure to share it with your friends and family.
3. New Report
Every year, Ohioans to Stop Executions releases our annual report, which gives you the most accurate reflection of the state of the death penalty in Ohio. Our new report, Final Days: Ohio’s Collapsing Capital Punishment System, is available now at otse.org/annualreport.
4. New Staff
We’re thrilled to welcome Hannah Kubbins to our staff. Hannah is a graduate of Denison University with a degree in English Literature and Narrative Nonfiction Writing. She is in charge of administrative and communications work at OTSE. Welcome, Hannah!
The staff at OTSE is committed to bringing our members the resources and information that they need to abolish the death penalty at this critical time in the history of Ohio. We’ll continue to bring you updates as new tools become available.
